Ford Motor Company (also known as simply Ford), is an American worldwide car maker located in Dearborn, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. It was established by Henry Ford and included on June 16, 1903. The Company provides vehicles and mild commercial vehicles under the Ford product and luxury vehicles under the Lincoln subsequently product. Ford owned the Remedial car maker Volvo from 1999 to 2010. At the end of 2010, Ford was the fifth biggest car maker in European countries.

20th century
Henry Ford's first attempt at a car company under his own name was the Henry Ford Company on Nov 3, 1901, which became the Cadillac Motor Company on Aug 22, 1902 after Ford left with the rights to his name. As one of the biggest family-controlled Companies in the world, the Ford Motor Company has been in ongoing household control for over 100 decades.

In 1930, Ford presented the Model A, the first car with safety glass in the window. Ford released the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. The Ford Mustang was presented in 1964. In 1965 Ford presented the seatbelt memory mild.
In 1990 and 1994 respectively, Ford also obtained Jaguar Cars and Aston Martin. Most of the corporate profits came from financing consumer automobile loans through Ford Engine Credit ratings Company.
21st century
In the latter half of 2005, Chairman Bill Ford asked recently hired Ford The Department Chief executive Mark Areas to develop a plan to return the firm to success. In creating the hybrid electric powertrain systems for the Ford Escape Hybrid SUV, Ford certified similar Toyota hybrid systems to avoid certain infringements. Under the multi-million-dollar, multi-year project, Ford will turn a display navy of Ford Escape Compounds into plug-in hybrids, and SCE will assess how the vehicles might communicate with the home and the utility's electrical lines. Some of the vehicles will be analyzed "in common customer settings", according to Ford.
Bill Ford became Chief executive of the firm in Apr 2006, with the retirement of Jim Padilla. The contract included the Company of a company-funded, individually Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association (VEBA) trust to move the pressure of retired person medical care from the Company's books, thereby enhancing its balance piece. On June 2, 2008, Ford sold its Jaguar and Land Rover functions to Tata Motors for $2.3 million.
The three Companies presented action plans for the durability of the industry. Ford decided not to seek government assistance.
